PASAPALABRA

This time, teacher has asked us to organize a game related to the European Day of languages. We made a gruop of six and we decided to dop an entertaining game such as Pasapalabra. We prepared a full "rosco" with questions related to Europe and language. I had a really good time in my group although we worked really hard to do all the questions.

 

COMPARING OUR RECREATION (VIVIAN MAIER)

The last project we've done it has been an oral presentation about a photographer.

At first, the teacher gave us the name of a photographer but we didn't like it, his pictures were not nice at also we asked him if we could change to another. After a long search we came across with Vivian Maier, an American photographer and we really liked her photos so we decided to talk about her.

In the photo that was taken by Vivian, we can see two girls eating an ice-cream. The picture ius focused on the two girls as we can not see the background clearly. On the other hand, you can see the picture that I took to my cousins, I tried to make it as similar as possible but we can see the differences on the faces as my cousins were cought in a spontaneous moment and none of them was smiling. It was quite hard to recreate the picture because they just wanted to eat the ice-cream and the didn't let me to take it propperly.



  

PHOTOGRAPHER'S TIPS

Today, the teacher has asked us to take 12 photos based on the video we saw in class. The purpose is to take 6 photos which are taken in the correct way and other 6 where you can see the incorrect way.

BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY

This week we have watched a video about basic photography in class. In the video, there were mentioned some essential tips to take good photographs:

1. Depth of Field; which consists on focusing in the foreground and blurring the background. For example,if you are taking a portrait photo, this is the best way to do it.
2. Shutter speed; this is the perfect feature to use when you are taking a movement photo.
3. Half-press; to focus and Full-press for photo.
4. Use your left hand under the lens to grab the camera.
5. Check your photos before it's too late.

LETTERING

This time the teacher has asked us to write "welcome" in the different languages that are spoken in our school. Our task is to make different fonts for each language by hand in a sheet of paper. I'm not very used to do this kind of thing, however, I enjoy painting and drawing and I'm going to try to do my best. 

Lettering is very important for marketing because each brand is identified by their logo.

1. As we can see, the first picture is a milk brand from Spain and they might have chosen this lettering with color details to decorate it.  


2. The second picture is a tomato brand and the have chosen the red color to highlight that the product that they are selling is fresh tomato.



3. The third picture is a deodorant brand called "Sanex" and they might have used the blue color as an idea related to the cleaness.

MASS MEDIA

This time the teacher has asked us to do an entry about mass media. We have to explain three different areas of communication that we usually use in our daily life.

 The mass media is a diversified collection of media technologies that reach a large audience via mass communication. The technologies through which this communication takes place include a variety of outlets. 

The media that I most use are:

TV: Nowadays there are many channels of information in TV ,although, I only wtach some of them. On the one hand, my parents usually watch informative programmes such as "Antena 3" and "ETB1";on the other hand I like watching gossip programmes.

NEWSPAPER AND MAGAZINES: My dad usually buys the newspaper on the weekends, he reads "El Diario Vasco" and somtimes he buys "Marca" to inform about sports' news.

RADIO: I don't really listen to the radio but while I'm in the car I enjoy listening to music and some interesting interviews to famous people.
